Storm Goretti is forecast to bring heavy rain, snow and strong winds over the next 24 hours. Our teams have been preparing and doing all they can to maintain supplies and stabilise the network.

Customers should continue to take the following steps to prevent internal flooding of homes:

  • Check your pipes, especially those exposed outside or in a garage
  • Know where your stop tap is, it’s usually under your kitchen sink but could be in a downstairs toilet or garage
  • As we experience the thaw, check pipes for any leaks from joints or cracks and turn off water if you need to
  • Have the number of a registered plumber handy

Add or remove a name from account


We know there are many different circumstances when it comes to add a name to an account or removing a name.

New Customers

If you are moving in with someone who doesn’t already have an account with us, you can open a new account in joint names.

Existing Customers

If you are moving in with someone who already has an account with us and you want to add your name, we will need to close the existing account and open a new one in joint names.

If you would like your name removed from a joint account, (as a result of a divorce or separation as an example), we will need to close the existing account and open a new one in the name of the person who will continue to live there.
