What’s Cooking? Welsh Water Hosts Cost-of-Living Event With a Difference

In May we held our first "Cooking On A Budget" Session Cost Of Living Event in Rhyl.

The event was well attended by customers who were able to gather information from the 19 organisations who exhibited, plus Public Health Dietetic Team presented the “Cooking On A Budget” Session.

The aim of the session was to show people how you can make a delicious meal using store cupboard ingredients and to promote how healthy eating also helps with your wellbeing. Tasters of a pre made Bean Chilli, prepared in a slow cooker, was handed out for everyone to sample and each person who attended were also given a bag containing all the ingredients required to make the bean chilli and a recipe book. A big thank you to Morrisons is Rhyl for donating all the food.

We had 2 lucky winners of a slow cooker, they were very pleased and are looking forward to making some nice tasty meals.

S4C came along to film the day as they are doing lots of promotion around cost of living and the benefits to healthy eating.
