Free Half Term Family Fun and Support from Welsh Water

Free half term family fun and support

12 October 2023

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water is hosting a free family event at The Riverfront arts centre in Newport this half term.

On Thursday 2nd November 2023, between 10am and 2pm, over 30 organisations will be at the venue to offer information on cost-of-living support, energy saving, mental health and lots more.

As well as information stalls, there will be plenty of activities available for families, including arts and crafts, children’s games and Lego building, a family themed prize giveaway and free hotdogs and refreshments for visitors.

Jody Perkins, Promotions Advisor at Welsh Water, said: “Half term can be an expensive time for families, and as a mam of four myself I know how hectic it can be.

“I’m really looking forward to hosting our free family event this October half term; with the aim of bringing customers from the area together to have some fun and find out about the great support on offer for them from Welsh Water and our partner organisations, including Newport Council.

“Welsh Water will be promoting the various financial support schemes available for customers, as well as job opportunities with the company and tips and tricks to save water and improve water efficiency around the home.”

No pre-booking is required for this event, with extensive access to the venue available via public transport. There is also car parking available opposite the venue at a cost.
