This year’s event was held in Cefn Lea Conference Park in Newtown, on the 9th November.

The conference was a highly successful event that brought together professionals from various sectors. The conference served as a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and professional growth.

Colleagues re-familiarised themselves with the Water Incident Management Plan and had the opportunity to identify and discuss improvement ideas during a scenario based workshop.

WHP Conference 2022

After 2 years without meeting together we were excited to host our Water Health Partnership Conference in 2022. The conference was held in Cefn Lea Conference Park in Newtown, a little later than usual, on 30th November.

There were some really useful discussions between colleagues and one of the outputs from the workshop is the commitment to form a new Temporary Events task and finish group. One of the objectives of the group will be to review and re-issue the Water Health Partnership Guidance for Temporary Events document. You can express interest in participating in the new T&F here.

Covid-19 Restrictions

Covid-19 restrictions have meant that we have all had to consider alternative ways of keeping in touch with each other. The Partnership have produced a newsletter that provides an update on key developments in Water & Health matters and provides information on recent and current issues from Stakeholders.

WHP Conference 2019

Date: Wednesday 18th September 2019

Venue: Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells

This year's event was held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells on 18th September 2019. The conference heard from a variety of speakers including Gian Marco Currado, Director of Environment and Marine at Welsh Government, on the government’s vision for the sector, as well as Professor John Fawell on the emerging challenges facing water and public health. There was also an update from the Drinking Water Inspectorate, and from Refill Cymru, on this year's progress with the Refill initiative. The event was brought to a close with final remarks from Professor Stephen Palmer.

Water Health Partnership for Wales Annual Event 2018

Date: Thursday 13th September 2018

Venue: National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth

Every year we organise an Annual Event. The aim of this conference is to showcase the work of the Partnership and keep in touch with all our colleagues.

World Health Organisation (WHO) - Webinar, small drinking-water supplies

WHO would like to invite you to the launch webinar of the WHO’s updated guidelines for small drinking-water supplies and associated sanitary inspection tools – a supporting tool for the Guidelines.

Participants will gain awareness of key features of the Guidelines and tools, exchange with experts and practitioners on implementing the recommendations and guidance, and gain insights into upcoming efforts to further support implementation of the guidance.

Focused Meeting: What's New in Cryptosporidium?

Public Health Wales, Cryptosporidium Reference Unit, in joint collaboration with Swansea University and the Microbiology Society.

Date: Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th July

Venue: Swansea University’s Bay Campus

The Cryptosporidium Reference Unit is organising a conference jointly with Swansea University and the Microbiology Society in Swansea on 6th and 7th July 2020.

The conference comprises a half day on the 6th July focussing on environmental and public health aspects, while 7th July will be of additional interest to those involved in scientific aspects.
