Dwr Cymru Welsh Water
WaterSource PestSmart 2020 Pesticide Disposal Scheme

Coronavirus: what is the impact on our free & confidential pesticide disposal scheme?

We know this is a difficult time and the safety of our customers, staff and third-party contractors is of paramount importance to us. We are closely monitoring the news, information, advice and guidance from UK Government, Welsh Government and public health bodies regarding the spread of the Covid-19 (coronavirus).

I’ve registered, when will my pesticides be collected?

Under the current circumstances we may need to delay collections. If you have fully registered to take part in the scheme your pesticides will be collected when the Government advice permits us to do so.

I haven’t registered yet: can I still register?

The registration window remains open and you can still register to take part by clicking here.

2020 Pesticide Disposal Scheme

Following its success in 2019 we have relaunched our free and confidential disposal scheme for farmers, growers, gamekeepers, foresters and land managers to safely dispose of any unwanted, out of date or unlicensed pesticides and herbicides which are difficult or expensive to dispose of

By providing this disposal scheme across Wales and in Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water’s drinking water catchment areas in England, we are working with land managers to safeguard raw water quality before it reaches our water treatment works.

You must register for this scheme no later than 5pm on Friday 29th May 2020.
