Man drinking waterWe are investing over £6 million in the water network in north east Wales to ensure we provide customers with clean fresh drinking water for years to come. To do this we will be renewing and clearing around 60km of pipe.  Below is information on the individual projects which form part of the investment.


Connah’s Quay 2017 (2B)

Street names:  Mold Road, Englefield Avenue, Alwen Drive, Quarry Lane, Belmont Avenue, Firbrook Avenue, Dee Road, Fron Road, Red Hall Avenue, Glynne Street, Howard Street, Prince’s Street, Garratt Close, Dean’s Avenue, Arnold Grove, Dodds Drive, Pennant Street, Windemere Avenue, Breeze Hill, B5129 High Street, Spring Street, Quay Lane.

Expected start date: March 2017

Expected completion date: 29 June 2018

Additional information: Traffic lights and Temporary road closures will be necessary on the streets above during the work but we will be writing to customers living there to give advance notice and details of any diversion routes that may be necessary.  We would like to thank people in advance for bearing with us.


Queensferry

Street names:  Station Road, Fairfield Road, Gladstone Street, Chester Road East, Queen Street, Glynne Street, Dundas Street, Wales Coastal Path, Bridge Villas

Expected start date: 5 June 2017

Expected completion date: 31 May 2018

Additional information: We will be using traffic lights where necessary, and some roads will be closed at times to traffic, however local diversion routes will be in place. We will make sure that advanced warning signs go up so that you have plenty of notice and we will also make sure access will be maintained for residents although there may be a short delay. We’re sorry for any disruption this may cause, but we’ll do our best to finish the work as quickly as we can.
