Dwr Cymru Welsh Water proposes upgrading the sewerage network on Gors Common to allow the connection of a proposed housing development at Pant Penderri, and to alleviate the risk of wastewater flooding in the area.
The scheme will include the installation of 590 metres of sewers in the common and a tank in the west of the common adjacent to Gors Road and Gorseinon Road. The tank will act as a short-term holding facility for storm water during periods of severe weather.
Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has started a £300,000 scheme to prevent the flooding of properties in Zouch Street in the Manselton area of the city.
The work, which involves the construction of a new 60 metre relief sewer, will increase capacity on the network and take place in Zouch Street, Clare Street and Millwood Street.
