Man drinking water

Over the next few years, we will be investing in the water network in Herefordshire to ensure we provide customers with clean fresh drinking water for years to come. To do this we will be renewing and clearing around 125km of pipe.  Below is information on the individual projects which form part of the investment.

Bredenbury

Street names: C1062 - known locally as Rowden Lane

Start date: August 2016

Expected completion date: November 2016

Additional information:  In order for us to carry out the work safely, we will need to close this road for around 16 weeks from 15th August. The closure will be between Winslow Garage and Bredenbury Primary School.  Access will be maintained for residents however, this may be via a diversionary route which will be clearly signposted.  We would like to thank people in advance for bearing with us.

Cradley / Acton Green

Street names: Road affected - B4220

Start date: August 2016

Expected completion date: January 2017

Additional information:  We will be carrying out this work in two phases.  The first phase of work will take place on the B4220 from the junction of the C1137 to the Acton Green Crossroads This section of work will involve transferring the water supply from one pipe to another which will ensure a more reliable supply of water to customers in this area.  This section of work will begin on 15th August and take around seven weeks to complete.

Phase two of the work involves replacing around 3.5 kilometres of water pipe on the B4220 between Acton Green Crossroads and the junction with the A4103.

This section of work will begin once phase one is complete, we expect that this will be around 3rd October and will be complete by the end of January.
