Welsh Water and its partners are proud to support WaterAid, which now works in 27 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific region and Central America,  providing water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the world’s poorest people.

Staff across the business are actively involved in a wide range of fundraising activities each year. In the last 8 years of fundraising staff have raised over £840,000. Our aim is to raise £1 million in the 10 years to 2014.

For the past few years we have given someone working for Welsh Water the opportunity to go on the WaterAid Supporters Trip to see for themselves the difference the charity makes to the lives of so many people.

In February 2012 Sally Gronow visited WaterAid projects in Zambia. Click here to read Sally’s blog.

In 2010 Oliver Malkin visited WaterAid projects in Bangladesh. Click here to see Oliver’s blog.

A big thank you to all our customers who have also supported WaterAid through the annual customer appeal. Since it was launched in 1993 you have given over £3.5 million – that’s enough to help over 450,000 people gain access to safe, clean water and sanitation – thank you.
