As well as providing resources for use in the classroom, Welsh Water has been supporting the Welsh Assembly Government’s Healthy Schools Initiative, ‘Think Water - Dewis Dŵr’. Research has shown that, as well as benefiting our general all-round health, drinking plenty of water can also improve mental performance and overall concentration levels.
Welsh Water is proud to be part of this initiative and, to date, has supported the installation of mains supplied water coolers in 384 schools in Communities First areas across Wales.
In addition, we’ve been working with PHS Waterlogic to provide schools with high-quality water cooler bottles at the lowest possible cost. We also give a FREE drinking water bottle to every pupil that visits one of our education centres.
