Welsh Water investment will bring benefits to Trawsfynydd
Dwr Cymru Welsh Water is investing in a scheme that will deliver environmental improvements to the village of Trawsfynydd.
The utility company has started work to install new screening equipment and upgrade part of the existing wastewater network in the area.
When completed, the £300,000 scheme will ensure that all storm discharges are screened prior to release into the local waterway which will deliver a boost to the environment by improving the water quality.
Work will take place on scrub land located behind Maes Gwyndy. The scheme is expected to be completed by the end of March.

“We would like to thank local residents, particularly those nearest to where the work is taking place, for bearing with us while this essential work is carried out.”
Welsh Water liaised with relevant bodies, including Gwynedd County Council and Environment Agency Wales during the project’s planning stages.
